Pollen (Summer Assignment)

 

My apologies for the blurry picture. But, this pollen. Pollen is usually yellow & come from flowers. It's a powdery substance, Many humans are allergic to it because of the grain it contains. It comes from the male part of the flower. This substance is also the fertilizer element, which is used in the process of fertilization because it is what produced male sperm.

This is a picture of a flower ovary. This is where the fertilization of a flower occurs and seeds are produced. In this picture it is what is in the middle. There is no reproduction occurring in this picture, but soon there will be.

Greetings. For my first photo for the AP Bio Summer Assignment I have chosen to take a picture of Lichen. Lichen is a fungus that usually grows on tree trunks or rocks. This fungus is green and on a tree I found. It is growing and will develop into a larger organism. Also, on the lower end of the tree you can see a plant growing, which may have been from the lichen.
