Homeostasis (Summer Assignment)

These flowers are in homeostasis because they have recieved energy from the sun and water, also they have grown pretty well. Homeostasis is the balance of something, which is what the flowers are; balanced.

Population (Summer Assignment)

In this picture there is a population of flowers. A population is a group of the same organisms living in an area which are the species. All of these flowers are similar.

Prokaryote (Summer Assignment)

In this picture there are prokaryotes. On the green part of the tree there is fungi and bacteria. Prokaryotes are unicellular. Bacteria is unicellular, making it a prokaryote.

Xylem (Summer Assignment)

In this picture there are plants. In these plants there are xylems, which a part of the vascular system. This helps with the internal function of the plant.

Sporophyte (Summer Assignment)

In this picture there is a sporophyte. The meaning of this word is that the plant is an alternate based on genes and is not the same as those of its generation.

Cuticle Layer of a Plant (Summer Assignment)

The cuticle layer of a plant is what covers the epidermis and keeps the water within the plant. It is the protective layer. This is why the leaves are seemingly shinier than regular leaves.

Tertiary Consumer (Summer Assignment)

Tertiary consumers are third-level predators who eat organisms that eat organisms that make their own food. This bird, although dead, is one.

Genetic Variation Within a Population (Summer Assignment)

In this photo it is visible and clear that one tree looks completely different from the others. So, there must be genetic variation in the population of trees. A different looking tree comes from the genes that it has which is not the same as other trees, so the genes within the population aren't the same.

Niche (Summer Assignment)

A niche is the function of an organism in an environment. In this environment these plants grow & make fruits and vegetables. This niche is cause by it's DNA, water, and sunlight.

Tropism (Summer Assignment)

Tropism is when the organism involuntarily moving and turning in an environment. This is what this flower did in order to grow. With water and sunlight it was able to show tropism.

Pollinator (Summer Assignment)

Pollinators are insects or animals that move pollen from the plant. As you can see in the picture, the bee is removing pollen from the flower and helping it produce seeds. They both benefit from this action.
